The Role of the Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant, you will work in a team with your colleagues and be responsible for the care of our patients. Your work also includes documentation, checks, blood tests, and assisting with sample collections. You will care for patients with significant needs for care and rehabilitation; patients with tracheostomy and PEG are common in our medical care unit B, and it is important that you feel secure in this.

Your Future Workplace

With us, you will work in a department where we care about a good work environment, where collaboration and helping each other is a given. You will work in a team where physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and dietitians play a central role in the patient's rehabilitation. The unit employs about 20 nurses and 20 nursing assistants. We are a group with different experiences, strengths, and competencies, which allows us to complement each other. The medical clinic at Ryhov County Hospital is the largest somatic clinic in the region with about 350 employees. The clinic is divided into nine sections with different specialties. The medical clinic has a strong positive development and conducts improvement work in all units.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a few years of experience in the profession. If you have an interest in neurology and stroke, we see it as a positive. As a person, you are calm and stable and can easily adapt to the various circumstances that exist in a hospital. You will work in a team, so we expect you to be collaborative and responsive to both colleagues and patients. It is important for you to meet everyone with respect and empathy. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.

The position is a permanent employment with a working degree of 90%, starting according to agreement. To ensure you have a good start with us, you will receive a tailored introduction and shadowing based on your experiences.
